AgAPP-e – AI-driven Phosphorus Management Efficiency for Smarter Agriculture & Sustainability, a pioneering ITEA4 project co-funded by ANI (Portugal) and TÜBİTAK (Turkey). The project brings together 8 partners from Portugal and Turkey, working hand-in-hand over 36 months (2025–2027) to improve the way phosphorus (P) is managed in agriculture.
Phosphorus is essential for plant growth, yet its inefficient use is one of the main causes of water pollution and resource loss. AgAPP-e leverages Artificial Intelligence, IoT, and remote sensing to deliver a digital platform that helps optimise phosphorus use, reduce environmental impact, and support smart, data-driven agriculture at both farm (micro) and national (macro) levels.
Whether you’re a farmer, policymaker, researcher, or technology provider, AgAPP-e aims to provide you with the tools and insights needed to make phosphorus management more efficient, traceable, and sustainable. The project aligns with broader EU goals on nutrient recycling, climate resilience, and the transition towards a circular economy, positioning it as a timely and relevant contribution to more sustainable agricultural practices.
Stay tuned for updates as we move from vision to action: developing the first ITEA agricultural software platform for phosphorus efficiency!
